Twisting Operator - Plant 22 (Thomson, GA) - D Shift
Position Overview:
Operate the Twisters in the Twisting Department. This is for a 12 hour shift position on a rotating work schedule.
Responsibilities:
Doff twisted packages.
Doffing procedure for three-ply product.
Troubleshooting checklist.
Packout procedure for non-heatset yarn.
Creeling procedure.
Repairing ends down.
Housekeeping.
Perform yarn changes.
Quality patrols.
Maintaining yarn tension.
Making a tail.
Repair ticket procedure.
Assist other twisting department personnel as needed.
Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for twelve (12) hours.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry, and reach occasionally.
Ability to lift packages weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds occasionally.
Ability to distinguish between colors.
Ability to reach safely to a height of 84 inches in a creel without placing excessive ergonomic strain on the body.
Must have ability to push a buggy up to 35 lbs with force.
Holidays, weekends, and overtime may be required.
Preferred Skills:
High school education or its equivalent preferred.
Possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
